Idaho Sales Tax Holiday Dates
The state of Idaho has not announced any sales tax holiday promotions for 2009.
Sales tax holidays are promoted by individual states to encourage people to buy certain items and to help lower the overall costs of these items. One common sale tax holiday is the “Back to School” sales tax holiday which usually takes place in late July or early August and usually allows people to buy a variety of school related items without paying state sales tax. Another sales tax holiday that is slowly gaining popularity is the “energy efficient appliances” sales tax holiday which usually takes place in late autumn as people are getting prepared for winter.
